- I have not attended due to volume of work. When I did
attend years ago, I did gain useful information.
Everything I read in the agendas and conference reports
tell me I really need to find time to attend.
Keep up the good work! - I answered some questions based on the new site that we are about to go live with in the next couple months, not our current site.
- Our site is partialy 508 compliant and we are working hard to get fully complied but right now we are in the process of redesigning the entire site.
- Here at DOLIR we are looking at using CVS (or something like it) for version control. We will be using it for the Websphere/Java based applications.
- At MVE our site which is a sub site of the department of corrections site is an online catalog. We continue to try to meet assessibility standards but due to the nature of the beast some are unattainable at present. Next years site as we do a new site annually in july, will be the first designed and developed using Dreamweaver and not frontpage. I have planned to attend meetings but as yet have not been able to attend.
- Establish a posted "helper" list of those with specific expertise on DMD website. I am often in need of help with CGI/Perl and constantly am calling Kevin Lanahan. I know there are others, but who? Possibly think about forming subgroups conscentrating in areas such as CGI/Perl, CSS, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, MySQL, Photoshop, XHTML and others.
- More surveys like this. Or perhaps coordinating usability studies of sites.
- The server and scripting section did not cover what we server on the internet. All our static content is hosted on the Morenet server, but we also have a Microsoft IIS server in the DMZ. This is where most of our current dynamic applications are served. These are asp applications some are created to work with AdvantageGen.
- We also serve CWS applications on the Mainframe Unix server designed to interface with CISC mainframe data.
- We just need to keep up the great networking and collaborative work we are doing!
- We staff some of these roles with consultants, questions 2, 4.
